On the road of responsible design

Our vision, principles and tools

Adam De Linde, Gabriella Cinque, Mathieu Sannié, Delphine Guegan, Guillaume Leroux

We are questioning how Design contributes to Orange’s reason to believe and Engage 2025. The Responsible Design programme aims to open a conversation within the Orange design community to develop principles and approaches that will enable us to support Orange’s responsible commitments in innovation projects.

What if… Success was measured not only by profit, but also by social and environmental impact?

What if… Design met the needs of all stakeholders, not just those of the company?

What if… Companies took the time to anticipate and address the unintended consequences of their activity?

What if… Technology could help our future world become fairer and more equitable and sustainable?

Looking at these questions, and continuing from the previous keynote “What’s new in responsible tech?” (with Cennydd Bowles, designer-in-residence, and Adam de Linde), the responsible design team is keen to discuss on the culture and practices within Orange.

In this second episode, after an introduction of Adam De Linde, in charge of the responsible design programme, Gabriella Cinque, Mathieu Sannié, Delphine Guegan and Guillaume Leroux will present the programme, the vision, principles and essential tools.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Gabriella Cinque

Gabriella is a designer and art Director. Italian in Paris for 8 years, she likes to touch everything, from writing to body art, from experience design to street art, from workshop facilitation to graphic design.
Her curiosity leads her to discover many things, which she likes to share around her with enthusiasm.
For the past year and a half she has been working full time on circular, ethical and responsible design at Orange.

Mathieu Sannié

Mathieu is a research and innovation manager. He started as a freelance marketing consultant. After co-creating a start-up, he has joined Orange to participate to develop disruptive innovations. For more than three years, he has been involved in environmental and responsible projects within Orange.

In parallel to his professional life, Mathieu has raced numerous regattas on the French coast and across the Atlantic. These sailing trips have made him deeply aware of environmental issues.

Delphine Guegan

Delphine is a service designer. Originally a telecom engineer, she became interested in human-centred approaches to innovation and thus enriched her skills with design disciplines. She is particularly concerned with the ethical aspects of designing new products or services based on artificial intelligence technology.

In parallel to her professional life, Delphine is a ceramic potter. She works with stoneware, porcelain and raku clay, which she glazes and colours with glazes resulting from her own research and composed of natural minerals.

Guillaume Leroux

An engineer by training, Guillaume designs services for Orange. Since the beginning of his career, he has paid particular attention to user interaction and the ergonomics of services. Very sensitive to environmental aspects, he has been working for several years to raise awareness among his colleagues of the need to integrate these constraints into Orange’s businesses and products. Since 2019, he has been running Climate Frescoes.

Outside Orange, Guillaume is actively involved in a pro-bike association, a vehicle with unrivalled energy efficiency.
